NAINITAL: A Beautiful Place.

Nainital offers many places to visit like Naini Lake, Naina Devi Temple, Bhimtal , Sattal, Cave garden, Lovers point etc. And it also offers activity to do such as boating, cable car riding, Paragliding, horse riding etc. So it is not easy to explore Nainital in a single day. You   need at least  two to three days to explore.

In our visit to Nainital, we had two days in our hand and we planned accordingly. So, we decided to explore nearby place on the first day and faraway places on the next day. So this was the plan.

So let’s explore….

Naina Devi Temple

First day in Nainital. It was around 9 o’clock in the morning, me and my friends had our breakfast and we out to explore the beauty of Nainital. As we came out of our stay, first thing we had done was clicking pictures (as we all do) and we clicked pictures in different pose and in different angle but the images came out were not so good as we were not professional, so I am not going to share all those images. After that we went to Naina devi temple which is situated on the bank of Naini lake. View of Naini Lake from the Temple area was beautiful. We spent some time in the peaceful environment of temple. After spending some time over there we went to have our breakfast and than to Cave Garden which was about 2km distance from the Naina Devi temple.

Cave
After reaching Cave garden we took entry tickets and moved inside. There are number of small caves inside cave garden. So we entered almost all the caves and literally some of them were very dangerous but adventures. Caves were not for the kids and old persons but they can roam around the cave garden.
After having cave experience we tried zip line (shorter) and also there was a mechanical bull which was unfortunately closed on that day so we couldn’t try it. There is a view point where we clicked some pictures. Over all it was a good experience at Cave Garden.

After cave garden we headed towards Lovers point which was further 2 km away from cave Garden. There I did nothing as there was only activity to do was horse riding and I was not interested to ride horse, So none of us tried it and we came back to Nainital town.

View from Cable car

Then we decided to take cable car ride and its boarding point was at few distance away from the Mall road (Nainital town). We reached at the boarding point, took our tickets and waited for like half an hour for our chance to come. Finally our chance came and we boarded in the cable car. It took us at the top of the hill and we just mesmerized by the view which we got to see from the hill top i.e. the view of Nainital city and the Naini Lake in the centre. There we ate noodles and spent good time. Then we came back to mall road through the ropeway only. And this time we were very hungry.

We four hungry people were on the hunt of restaurant. There were lots of eateries in mall road and we got one and had a healthy lunch. We became very energetic after having lunch, and thought of doing boating, so we went for boating at Naini Lake. We had done boating around half an hour and spent the evening by seating in the bank of Naini Lake to watch beautiful sunset. As sun went down, we back to our hotel and we took rest for around 2 hrs.

Woke up around 8 o’clock in the evening and we headed for dinner and it was damn cold outside. Done nothing much, had our dinner and just walked through the tranquil and empty road beside the Naini lake having cup of coffee in our hand. And it was a beautiful feeling. Naini lake was looking spectacular in the night as the lights were reflecting on the surface of the water. It was like portrait, black background with colourful dots. So after that we back to our room and so to bed.

2nd and last day in Nainital. We had decided to wake up early in the morning to witness the sun rise but we couldn’t make it, because of our laziness. Unfortunately we woke up after sun rise and we missed the sunrise. So after that we finished our morning work. Had cup of tea and now we all set to explore faraway places as we had decided earlier. Our first destination was Himalaya Mountains view point which is approx 9km away from Nainital. There were nothing much to do but the scenic view was amazing. We went there and spent some time and got ready for next destination.

While we were heading towards our 2nd destination, we got to see lots of beautiful places, roads were full of greenery and surrounded by mountains. And we were heading very slowly as we wanted to enjoy every moments of the journey. So we were stopping where we wanted to stop. We stopped at a place and had our breakfast. In breakfast we ordered Chapati (Aloo ke Paratha with achaar (yumeeeee)), pickle and tea. There we done heavy breakfast and we moved on. Now we were about to reach Sattal, our 2nd destination and it is around 22 km away from Nainital.

Sattal

So we reached Sattal, parked our car and went inside. First thing I saw, there were lots of eateries and as we walked further I saw a beautiful lake. We didn’t do anything much; we just walked around, witness the beautiful view and spent some quality time over there.

We came out of Sattal and headed towards Bhimtal, it took around 1 hour to reach Bhimtal. Bhimtal Lake is quite big and it was crowded. There was some parking issue so we didn’t stop for much time, we just clicked some pictures and moved on. Now it was the time to leave for Noida.

After spending good time in Nainital, it was the time for us to leave for Noida. So we headed towards Noida with lots of memories in our heart. We went through Kathgodam (Nearest Railway station to Nainital) route. Roads were beautiful as we got to see lots of greenery in both side of the road and lots of good thoughts were going on my mind about Nainital, so it was fun. And after a long journey we finally reached Noida in the evening.

And that’s how my journey completed.

That’s it for the post; meet you in the next one.

THANK YOU

NAINITAL: Lake City of Uttrakhand

Hey guys... Welcome to my blog... In this post I am gonna to tell you about my beautiful journey to a beautiful city. Yes It is Nainital.

So, let’s get strated…..

First of all I would like to give you a small glimpse of Nainital. Nainital or we can say city of lake, is a beautiful hill station in Uttrakhand, India. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and it has Naini Lake in the centre which is 6837 ft above the sea level which adds charm on its beauty. So let’s feel Nainital through this article.

Let’s Go…..

My journey starts from Noida (Delhi NCR) at around 10:00 o’clock at night. We were four friends going together and travelling with friends happen to be the best trip. And this was going to be one of my best trip. So early in the morning we had booked a cab for Nainital and I was very excited as this was going to be my first Nainital trip and first overnight cab journey though I have travelled overnight journey by bus but in cab it was my first overnight journey.

We packed our bags and got ready for a wonderful journey. At 9:30 pm our cab reached outside our hotel and literary I was super excited. We kept our bags inside cabs carrier and we too got inside the cab.  One of my friends sat on front seat and we three sat on the back seat, and we decided the one who will sit next to the driver will stay wake up and talked to the driver throughout the journey as the driver should not feel sleepy. And at around 10:00 pm our journey started and we headed towards Nainital.

We were enjoying the ride while moving forward and after two hours of journey we stopped at a tea stall to have a cup of tea (I must say tea stalls becomes part of journey while we travel). There we had tea and click some pictures as memories. After having tea and snacks we moved forward.

Starting of two hours of journey, I didn’t feel sleepy but after that I could not resist myself and I took a nap. And the nap was no longer a nap; it became a one hour sleep. So I woke up after one hour and I saw two of my friends were sleeping, the driver was driving the car and my friend who was sat next to driver, chatting with him (I was like Oh..! everything is as per the plan). I saw everything was okay and again I took a nap. Around 2 o’clock again I woke up and I saw our cab stopped and I was wandering, where are we?? Then I saw there was a railway crossing and cabs were in queue, waiting for the train to pass. We wait for around 30 minutes for train to pass and gate to be opened; I don’t know why this much of time taken by the train to pass, might be of some technical problem. Meanwhile we got off the cab and enjoyed the moment. There was dark all around, kind of peace there and we four friends standing somewhere on the mid of the road. It was a fun experience. After that we headed towards Nainital and I slept for some hrs and woke up few minutes before reaching Nainital.

It was around 5 o’clock in the morning, Just before Reaching Nainital we stopped our car at a place from where the whole Nainital city can be seen. Literally the city was looking stunning from that point as we could see the sun was about to rise and the city was partially dark, with some dim light coming out of the building and it was looking very beautiful on that frame. We spent some time over there to feel the beauty of Nainital. After that we headed towards Nainital city.

Now we had been entered to the city and were looking for the hotel. We were searching for the hotels that should have lake view room, but we didn’t get as the lake view rooms were filled up, I think because of our mistake, that we hadn’t book the hotel in advance or probably we can say not our mistake as the trip was planned instantly and we didn’t get time to book the hotel in advance. After that we decided not bothered about lake view room, just get the room and take rest as we were exhausted after an 8 hr of journey.

Finally we got a kind of flat where two rooms were there and rooms were actually good but main part was “lake view”. Yes Lake was visible but not properly, as trees were coming in between the balcony of the flat and the Naini Lake. So after getting room we told our cab driver to park the car in parking area. (Note: There is a parking space for tourist cab next to Naini Lake and also there is some parking fee for it. Roadside parking is not allowed). So after that we decided to take rest now, and to explore Nainital later.

Summary:

This was my journey from Noida to Nainital. We enjoyed throughout the journey and had lot of fun. It took around 7 to 8 hrs to reach Nainital. It was a short trip. We stayed there only for 2 Days and 1 Night. Round trip cost us around 7000 to 8000 INR (Only the cab charges and I don’t remember the exact figure).

This article is not finished yet; I will post second part of this article in next post where I will tell you about, what I have done in Nainital. Or I might have posted it while you will be reading it.

*That’s all. Hope you guys enjoyed reading it. If you have anything to ask or tell then comment down below.
